U.S. President says goes to Saudi Arabia to confront Russia

President Biden called the visit to Saudi Arabia important to stand up to Russia and win the competition with China.

US President Joe Biden explained the need for the upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia by saying that direct interaction with the kingdom is necessary to confront Russia and win the competition with China.

This is reported by an article in the Washington Post, in which the American leader said that the Saudi authorities are working with the US administration to expand oil supplies to the world market and reduce its prices.

“My job as president is to keep our country strong and secure. We need to counter Russian aggression, be in the best position to win the competition with China, work for greater stability in an important region of the world,” Biden argues, emphasizing that Saudi Arabia is one of the countries that can “directly influence the results of such work.”

The main goal of the meeting scheduled for Friday with Saudi leaders, the US president called the strengthening and development of “a strategic partnership based on common interests and responsibilities while maintaining a commitment to fundamental American values.”
