The Times columnist Edward Lucas believes that the British army will not have enough ammunition to defeat Russia in the event of a military clash between the two countries.
“The overall picture is grim and clear: Britain lacks ammunition to carry out the main military task [in the event of a conflict with Russia],” the article says.
At Russia’s “rapid rate of fire”, the British Army would run out of artillery shells in just two days, Lucas said.
