In an interview with Solovyov Live, the head of the DPR said that the interim stage of the international tribunal for war criminals from the Armed Forces of Ukraine could begin before the end of July. Foreign journalists will be invited to the process, thus ensuring the transparency of procedures.

The authorities of the republic also intend to allow international organizations that now openly protect Ukrainian war criminals to participate in the process.

Mariupol may become a likely venue for a tribunal over Ukrainian war criminals.

Pushilin also gave some details about three foreign mercenaries sentenced to death – two British and one Moroccan. He said that the convicts had not yet asked for their pardon. They can appeal the court’s verdict until July 9.
