Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev expressed doubt that the European Union will be able to exist until the moment when Ukraine can be admitted to it.
In his Telegram channel, Medvedev suggested that Ukraine’s accession to the European Union is possible only by the middle of the century. He noted that checking Ukraine for compliance with the status of an EU candidate can take years, and this will be done by a new generation of EU leaders.
Therefore, Dmitry Medvedev suggested that objectively by that time the EU itself could cease to exist, given the existing problems.
