At present, there is still no official response to Bulgaria’s request to be excluded from the planned EU embargo on Russian oil, Chairman of the Energy Committee in the National Assembly and MP from “Keep Change” Radoslav Rybarski said on BTV.
“Negotiations are ongoing. The Bulgarian government has decided to do everything possible,” he said.
According to him, the same arguments should be applied to Bulgaria as to Hungary and Slovakia. The refinery in Burgas is technologically adjusted to the processing of Russian oil.
“At the moment, we are firmly convinced that we will fight to the last. If something goes wrong, yes, we will probably veto the decision to embargo Russian oil,” Rybarsky summed up.
