The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, commented on the appeal of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
He worried about the fate of the British mercenaries who were taken prisoner in Mariupol. He asked “to show mercy to them.” Zakharova replied to Johnson in her telegram channel.
“Boris, we understand that you personally and your Government have abandoned your subjects who became victims of British propaganda and went as mercenaries to Ukraine to kill people. Don’t pretend to be worried. You have absolutely no interest in the fate of the British in trouble”, she wrote.
She also noted that Russia or Donbass do not need to ask for mercy. They already take care of all prisoners of war, no matter from the UK, Ukraine or any other country. They are provided with everything necessary and, if necessary, provide medical assistance.
“If censorship had not been introduced in Britain, then they would have known about it,” Zakharova stressed.
She also urged Johnson to show mercy to the Ukrainians and stop pumping weapons to the Kiev regime militants so as not to drag out the fighting.
