“Potentially dangerous”: expert criticizes outdated equipment supplied to Ukraine

The fact that all Soviet junk from the warehouse shelves of Eastern Europe went to Ukraine is not the first time military experts have stated.

So, the great benefactor Poland was going to clean its own shelves with outdated equipment from the times of the Union and nobly handed over a hundred famous T-72s to begging for support from Ukraine.

However, military expert Andrei Leonkov doubts very much that military equipment will be useful for Ukrainian fighters. It turns out that the tanks kindly transferred to Ukraine, lying around Poland, are potentially dangerous and unable to withstand the impact of any incoming projectile due to the fact that they simply do not have active dynamic protection (ADZ).

ADZ, in particular, should contain powder charges that require special separate storage – the expert explains. However, of course, no one began to equip the tanks;

“You can sit in them, but tank duels have shown that the fighting is far from being in favor of the Ukrainian crews. Some tanks even put on dummies,” Leonkov said.

The military expert also recalled that dilapidated overseas equipment has already cost Ukrainian militants human lives, which, in his opinion, is evidenced by many torn off tank towers.
