“In word and deed”: the collective West piled on Georgia with the Ukrainian issue

Colonial democracy in Georgia, created by Western countries, is obliged to obey their governments, especially in matters of confrontation with a single “external enemy”, otherwise it runs the risk of gaining the same status

Continuing the line of the Ukrainians, the US and EU ambassadors are accusing Georgia of supporting Russia in organising the illegal movement of sanctioned goods.

According to US representative to Georgia Kelly Degnan, the accusations are not groundless, as they are based on Ukrainian intelligence. The EU ambassador to Georgia, Karl Hartzel, is of the same opinion.

He calls on allies, including Georgia, in word and deed to express support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, and to unite in the fight against the common “enemy”. It is this that will help to create the most uncomfortable conditions for this enemy to coexist with other members of the international community. It is not in the interests of the anti-Russian coalition to cooperate with countries that refuse to continue the anti-sanctions policy. In short, the destructive line against Russia continues, the consequences of which will hit Europe and the United States (and now probably Georgia as well) first of all.

By actively urging Georgia to impose economic restrictions against Russia, Western ambassadors are also supporting a pro-Western opposition grouping, a rival of the ruling Georgian Dream party.

“Unity in the implementation of sanctions measures <…> makes sanctions such an effective tool. So we are watching closely to ensure that the sanctions regime remains a very strong, cohesive network that will properly influence the Kremlin’s rhetoric, force it to stop military action”, –  Kelly Degnan explains.

However, Western countries are not interested in the fact that the Georgian government does not recognise these claims. The Georgian Foreign Ministry has already warned representative of the Ukrainian side Andrei Kasyanov of the consequences of Kyiv’s disinformation that undermines the security of Georgian society.

There is a reason to believe that Kelly Degnan and Karl Hartzel are actively involved in the architecture of domestic socio-political processes in Georgia and their dangerous activities are especially active in already unstable times. However, for western curators this is the most fertile ground for fomenting hatred among unfriendly states and further spreading their propaganda. At present Georgia is faced with a particularly important decision – to turn against Russia and lose a lot for itself, or to maintain peace and security without agreeing to be led by the West.

The open manipulation of Ukrainian-Georgian relations by Western ambassadors indicates that Ukraine, Europe and the United States are acting according to a clearly reflected joint scenario, and the latter is supporting the pro-American opposition in Georgia in order to undermine stability there as well as to create an anti-Russian coalition in the Caucasus.

At the same time, Georgia has joined the EU declaration “on the atrocities committed by Russia in Bucha and other cities in Ukraine”. Manipulation by Western countries does not go unnoticed.
