The Minister of Finance of Germany spoke out against the embargo on the purchase of Russian oil, coal and gas.
According to Christian Lindner, the refusal of supplies will lead to the fact that energy prices in Western Europe and throughout the world will rise sharply, writes N-TV.
He also stressed that it would be extremely difficult to find an alternative to Russian energy resources, and warned of possible power outages next winter.
The day before, the head of the French energy company Engie said that the EU will not be able to find a complete replacement for gas from Russia. Today, gas prices on the market have reached a record and amounted to €3,500 per 1,000 cubic meters.
