U.S. authorities see “little green men” [Russian army] in eastern Ukraine, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said at a briefing.
She clarified that she calls them that because they do not wear Russian military uniforms:
“We know that they are all over eastern Ukraine and they are not in uniform. They behave the way the Russian military would behave.”
According to Psaki, the United States have imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation for the “deterrence effect”.
She added that the meeting of the two leaders at this stage is not yet planned.
At thr sime time, there is no unequivocal evidence that Russia is sending troops to the Donbass, U.K> Foreign Minister Liz Truss said on Sky News.
“We have heard from Putin himself that he is sending troops, but we do not yet have full evidence that this is happening,” she said.
The evidence is clear: the day before, the President of Russia announced that he had not announced the entry of troops into the Donbass.
