U.S. slows down the implementation of the national security strategy due to the crisis in Ukraine

The Americans are sure that distant Ukraine has caused many problems for the United States. In particular, they blame Kiev for the fact that Washington has not yet finished preparing a new national security strategy.

Analysts of the American publication Politico wrote about this, Izvestia reports. They noted that work in this direction is being hampered by the uncertainty of the crisis in Ukraine.

Journalists noted that “the content of the strategy is fundamentally determined by Russia’s decision to attack Ukraine.” That is, the States will think about how to present an imaginary threat from the Russian Federation in the document.

At the same time, Politico believes that US President Joe Biden will appoint China, not Russia, as the main enemy. Washington, which considers itself the main player in the international arena, chooses its opponent between Beijing and Moscow. If he exposes the Russian side as a military threat, then the PRC is straining him in the economic direction.
