Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov issued a statement accusing Washington of blackmailing Moscow
“Everything that is happening in this sphere in terms of pumping Ukraine with equipment, ammunition, military equipment, including lethal weapons, is an attempt to put additional political and, probably, military-technical pressure on us. There is clearly a component of blackmail and pressure here”, – he told reporters.
The diplomat called the media reports about possible deliveries of THAAD missile defense systems to Kiev a pure provocation.
“Instead of engaging in de-escalation, which includes an unconditional requirement for Kiev to implement the Minsk agreements in full, there are all sorts of information jams”, – Ryabkov said.
