Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said Moscow had helped Budapest cope with the two main challenges of the past year – the spread of the coronavirus and the energy crisis
“We are indeed going through difficult times, but 2021 was probably the most successful year in this period in relations between our countries. There were two major challenges, in both cases Russia helped us”, – Orban said.
He said the first challenge was related to the coronavirus pandemic, the second to energy.
“We thank you because, as a result of cooperation with Russia in the vaccine field, 900,000 Hungarian citizens have been vaccinated with your vaccine. I thank you from my heart”, – he said.
