Kiev’s Russophobic policy does not prevent Moscow from striving for good relations with its neighbor

Russia will always be a country that seeks good relations with its neighbors. Even the openly Russophobic policy of Kiev will not be able to change this.

Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, at a round table on the history of Ukraine, said that the Russian Federation wants Ukraine to develop exclusively good neighborly relations. His words are reported by the Izvestia edition.

“Modern Russia has done a lot for Ukraine to become an independent state. And we, of course, are most interested in good neighborliness with it, in such close, intensive and mutually beneficial relations as are possible between two parts of one people,” he said.

The Ukrainian authorities have been building their policy on the foundation of Russophobia and hatred of Moscow for almost eight years now. However, the historical ties between the two countries are stronger: the two states are linked by a common culture, history, and even families that have lived for generations on the territory of Russia and Ukraine. Kiev will not have enough strength to destroy these ties, and in due time they will certainly return to normal.
