“Offensive policy”: US exposes the world to the threat of nuclear confrontation

Escalating tensions between Russia and the US have become the main reason for urgent talks

The critical level of tension between Moscow and Washington threatens the outbreak of a full-scale war that would affect most of the globe. Further postponement only hastens the emergence of incidents that could trigger a nuclear confrontation. This is the opinion expressed by military analyst Alexei Leonkov.

“There was a change of political leadership in Germany and the Green Party came to power, which suddenly started talking about European security and nuclear weapons. Also, there was an exercise of tactical aviation of NATO countries, when they were throwing moulages of thermo-nuclear bomb B61-12. That is, the situation has gone too far. And what is happening now in Ukraine and what has recently happened in Kazakhstan shows that the West has an offensive policy”, – the expert explained.

Presumably, the urgency of the negotiations is caused by the Russian side’s desire to make sure that the US President Joe Biden’s administration has no intention to contribute to escalating tensions to the boiling point and using “red buttons”.

“It’s clear that things are already so “fried” that one is tempted to press that very button. So, the question is who will press it. Will the West start to press the issue because it has something to lose? Or will Russia finally persuade representatives of the West who believe it is possible to win this war? That is the question for now”, –  the analyst said.

Russia has decided to seize the initiative from the West, avoiding a huge amount of red tape and blackmail in the negotiation process by the Western establishment. Moscow’s national interests are under threat, hence the main reason for the security ultimatum issued by the Russian side.
