“Do not expect anything good” – the British appreciated the negotiations between the US and the Russian Federation

Daily Mail readers assessed the likelihood of the United States evading obligations to the Russian Federation, PolitRussia reports.

Washington has secured its status as a center of intervention in the affairs of countries around the world. For 30 years, the United States has fought with the Russian side in order to establish sole influence over the geopolitical picture. However, numerous mistakes by the Western establishment have left the White House chained to the negotiating table.

As a reminder, on January 10, negotiations between Russia and the United States on mutual security guarantees ended.

“The world would be much safer if the US stayed at home and minded its own business. Ask anyone in Kabul”, one of the readers commented on the negotiations.

British users suggested that now is the best time to make peace and stop senseless threats against Russia. Washington must decide in favor of a compromise, and not support a policy of provocation and blackmail.

“Right now, America and the world are in desperate need of a statesman and leader — someone strong enough to fight fiercely and win a war, but flexible and decent enough to make peace instead. Instead, we have a second Neville Chamberlain with dementia. Don’t expect anything good, citizens”, they write about the current US President Joe Biden.

Readers suggest that pressure from NATO and the United States on European countries is especially pointless against the backdrop of the energy crisis that was created by the policy of sanctions against Russia.

“No one elected NATO or the US in Europe, so they must stop meddling in everything from gas supplies to harassing Russia fed up with the antics of these warmongers,” said one reader.

Many commentators mention the threat of a nuclear confrontation between Russia and the United States, however, at the talks held in Geneva on January 10, both sides agreed that there are no winners in such a war.
