Squeezed in a vice: Moscow and Beijing prepared a test for the West

The Russian-Chinese tandem has surpassed the West in all directions, writes Inosmi.ru.

Columnist for the British edition of The Times, Edward Lucas, in his article outlined the problematic aspects of the present day that are troubling the Western establishment. According to Lucas, Russia has driven NATO into a corner in the Ukrainian scenario, while China continues to oust Western competitors from the scientific and economic spheres, making technological breakthrough after breakthrough.

The Russian-Chinese threat was formed, first of all, against the background of the atrocities of the West in Ukraine. Under pressure from Europe and the United States, the Russian side was obliged to find a strong ally, which also falls under the blow of envious American aggressors. The love of freedom, which covers the desire to control the world through a single Western policy, has led to the creation of a powerful tandem. Beijing and Moscow are equally willing to play strong and weak cards, covering each other’s undefended sides.

The British journalist is horrified to imagine the amount of effort needed to eliminate such a strong alliance on the world stage. China’s tough economic policy towards Lithuania has demonstrated exactly how the republic intends to deal with Western pressure. Moscow, in turn, made it clear what awaits Ukraine if the genocide of the Russian population in Donbass continues further.

The highest Western establishment in the person of Washington and Brussels guaranteed the Eastern European countries problems with the angry tandem of Russians and Chinese. Beijing has already supported Moscow’s desire to receive guarantees of non-expansion of NATO in the eastern direction, however, the Alliance is against such promises. Even the new Yalta agreement will not save Europe from “twisted hands”. Lucas believes that the West has doomed Eastern Europe to a dangerous confrontation that they cannot win.

Earlier News Front told its readers about how the PRC supports Russia’s desire to curb the expansion of the military anti-Russian NATO bloc.
