A former American official spoke harshly against NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. We are talking about the former US Deputy Treasury Secretary Paul Roberts.
The PolitExpert portal reports that he grossly insulted Stoltenberg, doubting his mental abilities. The reason for this reaction of Roberts was the attitude of the secretary general towards Russia.
Roberts believes that the North Atlantic Alliance puts itself in a dangerous position when it does not pay attention to the warnings of the Russian side. Moscow has already stressed several times that there are “red lines” that the West should not cross.
The American is sure that it is very stupid to neglect them on the part of NATO. Russia is one of the most powerful world powers that needs to be taken seriously. The expansion of the alliance to the East, to the borders of the Russian Federation, brings with it a further aggravation of relations and creates new threats to world stability.
Earlier, the Chinese Foreign Ministry supported the draft security guarantees that Russia proposed to the West. NATO confirmed that they received the documents and intend to study them. Chinese diplomats noted that if this is not followed by an adequate response, the world will face another round of confrontation.
