US seeks allies against Russia and China at upcoming ‘Summit for Democracy’

Washington has invited more than 110 countries to the summit, excluding world powers Russia and China. FBA Economics Today reports

Against the backdrop of a waning U.S. political stance against the Russia-China partnership, Washington is not ready to meet its rivals on the same podium as the rest of the world. This opinion was expressed by political scientist Nikolai Topornin.

“If the Russian Federation is invited along with the PRC, they will contradict the Americans. To say that they have a wonderful democracy, they go their own way, are somewhat different countries and so on. Washington does not want there to be such a political rift at the conference”, –  said the political analyst.

By this action, once again, America has publicly stated its unwillingness to deal with powers that are equal to it or even superior to Washington in terms of their influence.
