Late tonight, Ukrainian security forces began to launch powerful strikes with heavy weapons on the front-line town of Horlivka. This was announced by the mayor of the city Ivan Prikhodko.
“The heavy shelling of the checkpoint area, the Izotov mine, the Gagarin mine continues. The mine gets 6/7”, Prikhodko emphasized, urging civilians in the city to be careful.

In turn, the military correspondents report that battles between the DPR Army and the Armed Forces of Ukraine have started in some front-line sectors.
“Horlivka is under fire. The intensity of the fire is growing, residents of the front-line zone are reporting heavy shelling, battles have started in some sectors of the front, and the DPR defenders are responding”, writes Georgy Medvedev, military commander of the News Front team, in his Telegram channel.
