Zelensky imposed sanctions against 28 people, including Russians

The President of Ukraine has put into effect the NSDC decision on sanctions against 28 citizens involved in the “persecution” of Ukrainians in Crimea, among them there are Russians.

On August 20, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decided to impose sanctions against a number of Russian citizens involved in the “persecution” of Ukrainian citizens in Crimea, as well as against a number of media outlets on the peninsula and in the territories of Donbass not controlled by Kiev.

“To put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated August 20, 2021 “On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)”, the decree says.

Attached to the document is a list of persons against whom sanctions have been imposed. It lists 23 citizens of the Russian Federation, there are also Ukrainians and persons without citizenship.
