Russia is responsible for the situation with migrants on the Belarusian-Polish border, Moscow must influence Minsk to end the crisis, said British Foreign Minister Liz Truss.
“Russia bears a clear responsibility here. They must put pressure on the Belarusian authorities in order to end the crisis and start a dialogue,” Truss said in an article for the Sunday Telegraph, quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to the minister, the situation at the border is a “carefully worked out crisis.” Truss believes that the Belarusian authorities are trying to divert attention from “a multitude of heinous acts and violations of human rights” in the republic.
“We stand side by side not only with Poland, which bears the brunt of this shameful artificial migration crisis, but also with other countries of the Visegrad Four – Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic – and with our friends in the Baltic countries and Ukraine”, – said the minister.
