In France, a ship with a ton of cocaine was detained: among the crew there are citizens of Ukraine

French customs officials detained a ship carrying a consignment of cocaine – the cargo is estimated at tens of millions of euros.

The vessel, passing in the region of the northern coast of France, was redirected to the port of Dunkirk, where they found 1127 kg of cocaine on board.

According to media reports, 20 crew members, led by a Romanian captain, were detained. Among the detainees are citizens of Russia, Ukraine, the Philippines and Ethiopia.
According to a police source, the ship under the Liberian flag was sailing from Brazil to one of the northern European ports.

Investigators from Paris are involved in the drug trafficking case.
