Gas prices in Europe will remain high during the winter and will decline from spring.
This was stated by Kadri Simson, European Commissioner for Energy.
Simson noted that long-term gas contracts with Russia in Europe are being fulfilled. However, Europe must prepare for possible future energy crises, and increase its preparedness and resilience to rising energy prices.
Earlier News Front reported that the EU intends to investigate the reasons for the record jump in gas prices.
