Ukrainian foreign minister continues to fantasize about NATO membership

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said that several “breakthrough decisions” will allegedly be made at the Ukraine-EU summit to be held in Kiev on October 12

In an exclusive interview with the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, Kuleba said that the upcoming summit will make “breakthrough decisions regarding Ukraine’s practical integration”. He said Kiev continues to “fight resolutely to provide a European perspective”.

“I have no doubt that Ukraine will be a member of NATO. This is a political decision and it is a matter of time and balance that will be created at some point in the Euro-Atlantic space”, –  the minister said.

According to Vasyl Kashin, deputy director of the Centre for Complex European and International Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations could lead to a significant escalation of tension.
