The Southern Command of the US Department of Defense congratulated the US Air Force on its 73rd anniversary by publishing an image with the outlines of Soviet-Russian Su-27 fighters, RIA Novosti reported.
Congratulations with a picture of the white silhouettes of three Su-27s were posted on Twitter on September 18 with the caption: “Happy Birthday, US Air Force!”
The Soviet and Russian Su-27 fighter belongs to the fourth generation of combat aircraft. Its characteristic feature is the special shape of the glider, which makes the aircraft aerodynamically unstable, but provides it with super-maneuverability and the ability to perform aerobatics.
