Latin America was proposed to unite according to the principle of the European Union

Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso proposed to build integration processes between the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on the principle of the European Union, TASS reports.

According to Lasso, all countries in the region must learn to perceive the problems of other states as their own. Cooperation should be more pragmatic, with an emphasis on economic relations, because this will contribute to the growth of capital.

“When the world feels the roar of the engines of our union and realizes that we really use all our cultural values and strengths, it will listen to us. The voice of our economic growth will sound more eloquent and convincing than any joint statement we make”, said Lasso.

The Ecuadorian leader believes that the unification of Latin American countries will help them gain the attention of the whole world in the future, as well as have political influence.
