ICE data shows that the price of blue fuel on European markets has once again crossed the $ 800 mark per thousand cubic meters, it was reported
The cost of October futures on the TTF hub in the Netherlands during trading reached $803.85 per thousand cubic meters, or 65.995 euros per MW⋅h (based on the current euro-dollar exchange rate, prices at ICE are in euros per MW⋅h). The price of gas broke the historical record of $970 per thousand cubic metres several times during the trading on Wednesday, September 15.
According to the publication’s experts, the price of blue fuel on European markets may reach a thousand dollars per 1 thousand cubic meters under certain conditions. The price of gas may be affected by the situation on the fuel market in Asia, the weather in Europe and dates of commissioning of Nord Stream-2.
Nicholas Gvozdev, a columnist for The National Interest magazine, said that low levels of gas reserves in Europe and the record price of the blue fuel would accelerate the process of certifying the Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
