This opinion was expressed by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, RIA Novosti reported

Zakharova said that the West understands that it cannot cope with the current catastrophic situation in Afghanistan without Russia’s participation.

“They understand that without our country this major catastrophe, it is not a problem, it is a disaster on all fronts, they will not do anything about it”, –  Zakharova said in the program  – “The Big Game” on Channel One.

Recall that in early August, the Taliban* stepped up their attack on the government forces in Afghanistan and entered Kabul on August 15. The next day they declared the war was over. For the last two weeks of August, there was a mass evacuation of Westerners and Afghan collaborators from the airport in Kabul which was under the protection of US troops. On the night of August 31, the U.S. military withdrew from Kabul airport, ending nearly 20 years of U.S. military presence in Afghanistan. On 6 September, the Taliban announced that Panjsher, the last of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces, had come under their control with fighting.
