Russia will not wait until its tastes change in Brussels, but will communicate with those EU countries who are ready for this, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, commenting on the words of EU diplomat Joseph Borrell.
“Yesterday, the head of the European Union’s Foreign Service, Josep Borrell, made a speech, and he was quoted in the media as saying that we need to speak with Russia with one voice, Russia does not want to talk with the European Union, but wants to talk with individual member countries, and we it is necessary to ensure that all member states require Russia to talk only with the European Union”, the minister told reporters.
“This is an absolutely amazing logic. Because it was not us, but the European Union that destroyed the entire architecture of relations that existed between us and Brussels. Everything was ruined by the European Union. Of course, in such a situation when it does not want to restore anything, of course, we will not sit and wait, until someone changes their tastes. We will communicate with those who are ready for this”, Lavrov stressed.
