US wants to organize new export flights from Afghanistan

The United States expects to organize new export flights from Afghanistan, contacted representatives of the Taliban* movement (recognized as terrorist and prohibited in the Russian Federation) and received permission from them for freedom of movement, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said.

“We look forward to organizing new export flights from Afghanistan, recently coordinated with the Taliban* on this to allow freedom of movement. They said they would allow free movement,” Blinken said at a press conference.

As the Secretary of State noted, at present about 100 people with American citizenship remain in Afghanistan, but the Americans are not involved in any activity in the country.

Several American families have been able to travel across the land border in recent days, he said.
