The Islamic State* terrorist group claimed responsibility for the missile attack on Kabul airport on Monday, media reported, citing a statement from the group.
In a statement by IS*, quoted by Reuters, it is said that the group fired six rockets at the airport.
CNN TV channel, citing a US official, previously reported that on Monday morning, several rockets were fired at the international airport of the Afghan capital of Kabul. The US missile defense system was reported to have intercepted five missiles. Al-Jazeera TV reported, citing a Taliban* source, that one of the missiles fired hit the airport.
