Hungary is the first of the 27 members of the EU to approve the Russian vaccine
As Correspondent reports, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said that Hungary expects to receive the necessary technology by the end of 2021 and to set up production of the Russian vaccine against the coronavirus Sputnik V by the end of 2022.
“By the end of this year we will be able to complete the technology transfer process and from the end of 2022 it will already be possible to produce Sputnik V vaccine under Russian license”, – said Szijjártó, – “This way we will be able to reduce the vulnerability of the country and also to benefit from foreign economic benefits by supplying the vaccine to foreign markets. The Sputnik V production facility will be built in the city of Debrecen.”
According to him, “thanks to Sputnik V Hungary was able to implement the most successful vaccination campaign within the European Union. We note that Hungary was the first of the 27 EU members to approve the Russian vaccine.
