Minsk stressed the importance of continuing the negotiation process on this issue
Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko said on Friday, speaking at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, that Belarus highly appreciates the work of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) to establish the Eurasian register of industrial goods and expects Russia to preserve the access to government procurement for companies of the EEU countries.
“I would like to note the importance of continuing the negotiation process for the creation of a common EAEU state and municipal procurement market. We have made significant progress over the year, a Eurasian register of industrial goods has been formed and launched, and a regulatory framework is being formed. I would also like to thank the Russian side, Mikhail Mishustin, for his constructive approach to this issue. We hope that the Russian side will keep access to public procurement for companies from the EAEU countries that were included in the Russian register of manufacturers but haven’t managed to switch to the Russian one yet”, – said the Belarusian Prime Minister.
Golovchenko drew attention to the fact that the council of the Eurasian Economic Commission had recently defined conditions and production operations for a group of automotive products.
“We are sure that amid thoughtless application of economic restrictions and pressure measures in international relations to increase technological independence, competence of the union is certainly the right direction for our integration”, – stated the Prime Minister of Belarus.
