As the Prime Minister of Armenia noted “the efficient use of the energy potential of the Union can be a response to many challenges”

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Friday at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Cholpon-Ata that the establishment of a regulatory framework for common gas, oil and oil products markets within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is one of the key components in the development of the integration association.

“We are convinced that one of the key components of the effective development of the union is consistent and transparent work aimed at creating a regulatory framework for common markets for gas, oil and petroleum products. Efficient use of the Union’s energy potential can be the answer to many challenges, contributing to energy security and sustainable development of our economies”, –  he said.

According to Pashinyan, “Armenia expresses satisfaction with the significant work done by the Eurasian Economic Commission and the authorized bodies of the EAEU member states in the formation of common markets of gas, oil and oil products of the union.”

“We hope to continue constructive work based on mutual understanding and taking into account the interests of all EAEU member states”, –  the Armenian Prime Minister added.

Pashinyan stressed the importance of implementing the roadmap for the formation of a common market of organic agricultural products, as well as cooperation to reduce the negative factors affecting climate change.
