Russian Senator says Erdogan intends to create a broad coalition of pro-Turkish forces from Libya to Central Asia

Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov commented on the statement of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on supporting fraternal peoples in various regions of the world.

According to Pushkov, Erdogan confirms his policy of creating a broad coalition of pro-Turkish forces on the geopolitical arc from Libya to Central Asia.

“The phase of world geopolitics for such a swing is favorable for Erdogan: the United States has achieved nothing in Afghanistan and Syria, its weight in the region is decreasing, and so is its authority. The once ubiquitous European powers, being in the EU, no longer play the same role”, the senator said in his Telegram channel.

In his opinion, Great Britain is clearly inferior in activity to Turkey itself. And at the current stage, Ankara, by and large, has to reckon in this vast only with Russia – in Syria and the Transcaucasus, with her, plus China – in Central Asia, and to a lesser extent with Iran and the Saudis.

“Erdogan sees it. This is his time in the Greater Middle East, ”summed up Pushkov.
