Dynamo Ukrainian defender Ivan Ordets commented on the Ukrainian national team’s advance to the Euro 2020 quarterfinals.
According to Sport.ua, a football player from Kiev Dynamo said that he would be glad to have a football match against Russia and spoke in favor of ending all conflicts between the countries.
“A match between Russia and Ukraine? Of course I want. I wanted all conflicts to end, so that we could play football with each other. I have not yet heard that someone from Russia was ill against Ukraine. On the contrary, there are many guys in our team who see how Ukraine plays and support it. The guys at the club were happy yesterday that Ukraine went further”, – Ordets said.
In addition, the football defender congratulated the Ukrainian national team in reaching the quarter finals of EURO 2020.
“I was very worried about the guys. I wanted them to go on. They showed good football, the game was equal, both the Swedes and Ukraine had chances. But Ukraine, due to its character, snatched the game. I am very happy for them. The whole country supported them. They achieved what they wanted”, – the footballer said.
