The direct line of Russian President Vladimir Putin has attracted the attention of the international community. It was commented on by the press secretary of the White House Jen Psaki.
She gave a briefing in which she spoke about the British destroyer Defender in the Black Sea. She denied that the United States had anything to do with the incident. Psaki advised such questions to be asked to the Pentagon, but she “does not have the details”.
At the same time, the representative of the White House insists that violations of the border of the Russian Federation. According to her, the actions of Defender showed adherence to the principles of shipping, as well as the fact that Crimea is considered Ukrainian territory. The opinion and safety of the inhabitants of the peninsula were not taken into account in this demonstration.
The British ship entered Russian waters on 23 June. The Black Sea Fleet and border guards asked the crew to leave them, but they did so only after the plane had to fire a missile in the direction of the destroyer’s movement.
