Phantasmagoria and absurdity: Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the claims of the Czech Republic in connection with the explosions in Vrbetica

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova criticized Prague’s claims to Moscow regarding the explosions at arms depots in the village of Vrbetitsa, TASS reports.

According to Zakharova, the plot with the explosions in Vrbetica and some claims of the Czech side “more and more resemble stories about the brave soldier Schweik and his adventures from the immortal work of Jaroslav Hasek.”

“Absolutely the same phantasmagoria, absurdity, bordering and even sometimes crossing the border, which separates common sense and absurdity. Such an absurd concept does not make it possible to talk about what happened in any rational categories. We can say that diplomacy becomes powerless in this case, which is replaced by various literary genres”, – Zakharova said.

She noted that the leadership of the Czech Republic itself is not unanimous in the versions and assessments of the explosions that took place at the military depot in Vrbetica. In addition, investigative measures on the fact of the incident have not yet been completed.

“In general, in principle, it is absurd to say not that about any requirements, these are these papers, but in principle it is strange to discuss political statements on a topic that should be in the legal plane and in the competence of the court”, – the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman emphasized.

According to the diplomat, Prague got confused in its versions and its own interests, therefore “it just switched to creating mythology and promoting its own fantasies, which it passes off as certain facts”.
