Former US President Donald Trump criticized the policies of the current American leader Joe Biden.
“Joe Biden is leading our economy and country to ruin. Biden stopped the American Keystone XL gas pipeline, deprived Americans of 48 thousand jobs, but approved the Russian Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline in Europe”, – Trump said at his first rally after leaving the presidency.
The ex-head of the White House also noted that he had developed good relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to Trump, the United States has now “achieved American energy independence, which will come to an end and Washington will have to buy oil from the Middle East or Russia”.
Nord Stream-2 envisages the construction of two directions of a gas pipeline with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year from the coast of Russia to Germany through the Baltic Sea. The United States actively opposes the commissioning of the project, as it wants to supply its own liquefied gas to Europe.
