Suicide bomber blows up checkpoint in Libya: two dead

A suicide blast at a roadblock in southern Libya has killed two security personnel and wounded four others, Xinhua news agency reported.

The tragedy took place the night before in the town of Sabha. According to local security chief Sunusi Saleh Sunusi, a suicide bomber in an auto-rickshaw carrying explosives attacked the checkpoint.

At present, no group has claimed responsibility for the incident. The city authorities called on security agencies to “stop the suicide bombings and identify those responsible for them.
