According to the Russian senator, the United States assures us that in relations with Russia they want to clear up the “rubble” from the previous administrations, but are creating new ones.
As the well-known historian and publicist Alexei Pushkov writes in his tg-channel, under Biden, the second sanctions have already been introduced – now against Nord Stream-2, and Blinken’s empty rhetoric is designed to induce us to come to terms with sanctions as a “new norm” of relations.
“The United States has imposed sanctions on Russian companies and ships associated with Nord Stream-2. This is how Washington shows how it actually strives for a “stable and predictable relationship with Russia”. If there is anything they strive for, it is a relationship that is consistently hostile and predictably bad. This is the only thing that follows not from Blinken’s verbal exercises, which are of no particular value, but from the practical actions of the United States in the Russian direction”, – said Pushkov.
