Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani will be on an official visit to Kiev on May 16-17, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.
“Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani will leave for Kiev on an official visit on May 16-17, where he will hold bilateral meetings with representatives of the legislative and executive authorities of Ukraine”, – TASS reports.
During the talks, they will discuss the prospects for Georgian-Ukrainian cooperation in various areas, issues of regional security and common challenges, as well as preparations for the future summit of the Eastern Partnership program.
Zalkaliani will also take part in the meeting of the foreign ministers of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine in the context of conducting a political dialogue with the European Union and strengthening economic and structural integration.
At the end of April, Zalkaliani met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba in Romania.
On April 22, Georgian Ambassador Teimuraz Sharashenidze returned to Kiev, who was recalled in May 2020 due to the appointment of Georgian ex-President Mikhail Saakashvili as chairman of the executive committee of Ukraine’s reforms.
