Armenia asks Russia for military assistance

Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin for military assistance in connection with the situation in Syunik region

“An agreement was reached yesterday that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces should leave Armenian territory today. That agreement has been partially implemented, there are territories that Azerbaijanis have left”, –  Pashinyan said.

According to him, as the agreement has not been fully implemented, he had to turn to Russia “in accordance with the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance”.
