“Secretary of State Blinken told CBS that he will travel to Ukraine next week amid growing tensions with Russia”, – TV journalist Nora O’Donnell tweeted Thursday.
At the same time, CBS aired an excerpt from an interview with Blinken, in which he said that the United States was recording a withdrawal of Russian troops from the border with Ukraine.
“More forces have been concentrated on the border with Ukraine than at any time since 2014, when Russia actually invaded. We have seen that in the past few days a decision has been made to withdraw some of these forces. And we see that some of them have started to retreat”, – Blinken said.
The full interview will air on CBS Sunday.
