During a telephone conversation, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin discussed the details of joint work with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the Kremlin press service reports.
“The issues of increasing coordination within the framework of integration associations in the Eurasian space were discussed, including taking into account Tajikistan’s chairmanship in 2021 in the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization”, – the Kremlin’s website says.
The heads of the countries also exchanged views on the situation in the Central Asian region – in the context of the development of the situation in Afghanistan.
The presidents reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening Russian-Tajik relations of strategic partnership and alliance. It was agreed on an interdepartmental study of some practical aspects of interaction.
