Xi Jinping to attend Climate Summit

The Chinese Foreign Ministry reported that the President of the People’s Republic of China accepted Joe Biden’s invitation and “will deliver an important speech” on April 22 via video link.

According to TASS, on Wednesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said that Chinese President Xi Jinping would make a speech at the climate summit.

“At the invitation of US President Biden, Chinese President Xi Jinping will take part in the climate summit via video link on April 22 and will deliver an important speech”, – the Xinhua news agency quoted her statement as saying.

Recall that the United States intends to hold an international summit on the fight against climate change on April 22-23, 40 world leaders have been invited to it. The event will be dedicated to the topic of consolidating efforts to reduce harmful emissions into the environment.
