The developers of the Russian vaccine against the Sputnik V coronavirus have asked about the reasons for the media’s silence about the higher mortality rate in the UK after the Pfizer vaccination than after the use of the AstraZeneca drug, according to the developer’s Twitter account.
“The media reported daily about blood clots after vaccination with AstraZeneca. Now they are superbly silent about the fact that, according to vaccinations from the UK, the death rate after vaccination with Pfizer is twice as high as after using AstraZeneca. Why?” – said the developer of the Russian vaccine.
Earlier, the Institute for Global Change, created by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, said in a report that the number of deaths from side effects and cases of coronavirus infection after vaccination with Pfizer in Britain is 2.5 times more than after vaccination with AstraZeneca.
The European Medicines Agency, after examining additional information on the AstraZeneca vaccine, said that its benefits outweigh the associated risks, but recognized the likelihood of a link between vaccination and the very rare occurrence of thromboembolic complications in patients. At the same time, experts have not yet been able to confirm any specific risk factors associated with AstraZeneca and capable of provoking thrombosis.
