Two US Navy ships set off for the Black Sea

The US military sent two ships to the Black Sea. It was reported by the Turkish TV channel NTV on Friday, April 9.

It is indicated that Washington notified the Turkish authorities 15 days in advance of the passage of two warships through the Bosphorus to the Black Sea next week, as provided for by the Montreux convention.

The channel notes that the ships will enter the Black Sea due to “the growing tension between Russia and Ukraine”. Both vessels will remain in the region until 4 May.
