Representatives of the USA, Britain, Canada, Poland and Lithuania discussed the situation in Ukraine

British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace organized a virtual meeting with representatives of defense departments from the United States, Canada, Lithuania and Poland, during which they discussed the situation in Ukraine, TASS reports.

“The meeting participants reaffirmed their strong support for the sovereignty of Ukraine, its territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, and also discussed issues of concern to them regarding the strengthening of Russia’s military activity in the region”, – the Pentagon’s press service said.

Defense officials “emphasized their commitment to providing combat training and support to strengthen the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in order to preserve the country’s territorial integrity and continue to move towards achieving interoperability with NATO forces”.

The situation in Donbass escalated at the end of February. Officials of the People’s Militia report daily on shelling by Ukrainian militants, which are also recorded in the OSCE SMM reports. Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at the territory of the DPR from grenade launchers: as a result of the attack, about 40 settlements were left without water supply.
